My Lovely Life Abroad visits Richmond London

Hi from Richmond train station Welcome to my first transport stop: Richmond!  This is the start of my Tube/Train station series, and I'm so happy to start with the charming district of Richmond! Richmond is a London borough only 8 miles, or a half hour southwest of Central London, accessible by boat, train, car or  the District Line on the tube. Founded in the 16th century by Henry VII, it now boasts over 20,000 residents, and borders the River Thames. charming courtyard in Richmond village We start our walking tour by taking a left from the Tube/Train station onto the high street, named The Quadrant. The high street is filled with upscale shops and eateries, and as we meander, we find ourselves peering into tiny lanes and courtyards. If you get a chance, explore these little lanes.
